Individual Coaching Sessions

Individual Coaching Sessions, Individual sessions, Our private tele-coaching sessions (using telephone or video conferencing technology) last 30 minutes once per week, and are conducted in the comfort of your home or office -- regardless of their geographic location. Only a phone and the desire and commitment to move from pain to functionality is needed. Together, we, in collaboration with your medical providers, work on specific problems and find personalized solutions, which is the focus of the coaching until successful implementation. We include your family wherever necessary and possible. Based on research and on our own experience, we learn that individual coaching works because it gives encouragement, emotional support, accountability and structure to you, as you follow through on your goals.

In addition, coaching also includes:
  • Unlimited e-mail support.
  • Impromptu check-in calls.
  • Online resources and support.

Group Tele-Classes

The Tele-class concept stems from the belief that knowledge is power. The more you know about chronic pain the more power you have over it, and the less you will fear it. This module of the coaching process is designed to help you get your head in the game when it comes to understanding and overcoming chronic pain. Group coaching sessions (using telephone/bridge technology) are one-hour long, once per week. There is tremendous power in group coaching for you. Commitments made to the group in an environment of confidentiality and trust lead growth and often lead to specific action. A group setting allows sharing, support, practice, and the ability to personalize your learning.

Topics covered during group coaching sessions include:

  • Goal setting and monitoring progress
  • Sleeping better and enough
  • Exercising regularly and safely
  • Pacing for success
  • Relaxing the body, relaxing the mind
