FAQ

Why does coaching work?
Coaching works because of three unique features:

Synergy: You and coach become a team, focusing on your goals and needs to accomplish more than you would alone.
Structure: With a coach, you take more action, think bigger, and get the job done, thanks to the accountability the coach provides.
Expertise: The coach knows how to help you change your thinking about pain, make better decisions, set the best goals, and restructure your personal life for maximum productivity and functionality.

Who works with a coach?

Those who are tired of letting pain be in control!
Those who are willing to move forward!

What is worked on?
Here is what you and coach work on together:

Achieving goals and developing healthy behavioral habits around sleep, exercise, nutrition, medication use, stress management, relationships and thinking patterns.

Implement successful non-medical pain management strategies such as diaphragmatic breathing, relaxation, pacing, selective focus, humor and communication.

But how does a coach do this?
Coaching is delivered during regular, weekly sessions by telephone. You bring an agenda of items to the call or meeting. The coach helps you solve problems and make the most of opportunities. When you are taking on a large goal, the coach will help provide the support and structure needed to make sure it gets done. The coach brings out each clients best by offering advice, expecting a lot, helping them strategize and celebrating your wins. We work nationally, with clients in every area of the country, from big cities to small towns.

We work well with chronic pain clients who are ready to do what it takes to reach blockbuster goals.

Where do I start with a coach?
We begin with a free introductory call. We want to hear about your goals, needs, and problems. During this meeting, together, we will design a list of goals and a game plan to reach these goals. Prior to this meeting, you will receive a welcome package containing checklists and assessment materials to make the most of the meeting. The coach will spend extra time with you getting to know you and coaching you to set the best goals for yourself, and design the best way to work together as a team to accomplish the goals.
